ประกาศผลเป็นที่เรียบร้อยแล้ว สำหรับผลรางวัลออสการ์ ครั้งที่ 90 เมื่อเวลา 08.00 น. ของวันที่ 5 มีนาคม 2018 ตามเวลาท้องถิ่นในประเทศไทย ซึ่งในครั้งนี้ได้ จิมมี คิมเมล (Jimmy Kimmel) กลับมารับหน้าที่พิธีกรอีกครั้ง ซึ่งผลปรากฏว่า ภาพยนตร์ The Shape of Waterคว้า 4 รางวัล ภาพยนตร์ยอดเยี่ยม ผู้กำกับยอดเยี่ยม ดนตรีประกอบยอดเยี่ยม และออกแบบงานสร้างยอดเยี่ยม ส่วนสาขานักแสดงสมทบชาย-หญิง ยอดเยี่ยม เป็นของแกรี โอลด์แมน จาก Darkest Hour และ ฟรานเซส แม็คดอร์มานด์ จากหนัง Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri ที่พ่วงรางวัล สมทบชายยอดเยี่ยมไปด้วย ส่วนรางวัลแอนิเมชั่นยอดเยี่ยมก็เป็นไปตามคาด Coco คว้าไป
ด้านหนังกระแสดีอย่าง Get Out ก็คว้ารางวัล ภาพยนตร์ดั้งเดิมยอดเยี่ยม กลับบ้านไป ส่วน Dunkirk ของผู้กำกับ คริสโตเฟอร์ โนแลน (Christopher Nolan) กวาดไป 3 รางวัล ลำดับเสียงยอดเยี่ยม, บันทึกเสียงยอดเยี่ยม และลำดับภาพยอดเยี่ยม
